My personal experiences have been instrumental in bringing my expertise to the medical-legal realm. Truth and honesty have been integral to my life and are reflected in my medical practice, not only with my patients, but with my peers and other health professionals. I have a passion to advocate for the best in medicine, whether assuring patients that they are receiving the best, most appropriate medical treatment, or being the patient's advocate in seeking the care they need, expect, and deserve.
Since 2009, I have been exclusively practicing
hand, wrist in elbow surgery in South Carolina
and Virginia. I've trained residents, physician
assistants and medical students. In Virginia,
I helped develop a Regional Hand Center
serving five hospitals in Virginia and North
Carolina.
Before moving to Virginia, I practiced at The Hand Center in Greenville, South Carolina, where our group instructed the orthopedic residents at Greenville Memorial Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center.
I have held several leadership positions, including Orthopedic Surgery Department Chairman and Medical Director of Hand Therapy. Through my leadership and patient experience, I have perfected the ability to translate the "medical language" to anyone regardless of their medical knowledge. I have done many dispositions associated with workers' compensation patients and appeared in court as a treating physician regarding causality in workers' compensation cases. I expanded into the medico-legal field in 2021 and have garnered significant testifying experience. I approach legal matters with the same compulsive attention to detail, accuracy, and truth that I utilize in my life and practice of orthopedic hand surgery.
